I obtained a bachelor in Biomedical Sciences in June 2020 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and I am now finishing my master's. At the BENE lab, I am currently performing a one year internship to study the mechanism underlying sexual dimorphism in beta cell function. After graduating, I will continue as PhD student to explore the potential of a targeted pharmacological combination therapy to prevent and/or cure type 1 and type 2 diabetes, focusing on the effect of a GLP1-E2 conjugate on beta cell function and proliferation. During my free time, I work in a bakery and make very big puzzles (>2000 pieces). I also enjoy walking with Molly, a very energetic golden retriever.
